A client who is 62 and running about 200 miles a month asked which adaptogens / sun potion products we would recommend?

First - that is incredible! There are certainly some tonic herbs and adaptogens that may support this individual. I would recommend the following: Pearl - wonderful for bone and skin health Eucommia - a tonic for the joints, kidneys and recovery Cordyceps - this fungi is incredible for supporting endurance + stamina, especially wonderful for athletes Lion's Mane - a medicinal mushroom that works to support cognitive health, immunity and longevity.  A potion can be made with all four of these or however many they want to include, (1/4-1/2 tsp. of each per one serving) - great in coffee, tea, blended tonics with a plant milk or in kombucha or other fermented teas.

Hello, is there a reason why you don’t carry the Anandamide anymore? I just ordered some from amazon. And just checked out your website. Looking forward to trying more products. I just had a baby and found out I have had a broken bone for a few years and multiple sclerosis which lead me to your Anandamine product because it supports the myelin sheath. Is there another product that you would recommend for me? Thanks very much!--- Hi there! Happy to report Anandamide is available now! Additionally, we recommend looking more into Eucommia, Pearl and Cordyceps.

What is best for someone who is on anti anxiety Rx and wishing to decrease Rx to removing them entirely?

Hi there, we would love to recommend adaptogens that may support stress, anxiety and the nervous system. Our first recommendation is to speak with your healthcare practitioner/herbalist if possible. We cannot provide any medical advice but once you have that conversation with your doctor, we would suggest looking further into Reishi, He Shou Wu, Ashwagandha and Mucuna Pruriens. These tonic herbs and adaptogens may support mood, balance and overall well being.

What would you recommend for strengthening teeth and healthy gums?

Hi there, thanks for asking! Maca is a wonderful superfood for supporting healthy teeth...so we recommend our Green Adaptogen, a blend of Suma, Maca and Chlorella. Chlorella in this blend is also great for supporting detoxification and overall health. I also recommend looking more into Pearl, additionally it's great for supporting bone and skin health.  Additional support for teeth + gum health: — oil pulling  — daily flossing with natural products — Living libations is a great resource for holistic dentistry — Activated Charcoal rinses

Hi, After delivering my baby a year ago, my skin has been completely changed due to the hormonal imbalance. Also with lack of sleep and tiredness...

"Im looking for something that could boost my energy as well as I wish my skin could go back to the way it was. Could you please advise?"... ... Skin health adaptogens...we can certainly advise! Our first recommendations for single ingredient products are: Pine Pollen (which may support skin health in relation to hormone imbalance), He Shou Wu (a tonic for the nervous system, skin and hair health) Pearl and also Reishi (to support stress, skin health and immunity). Additionally, Yin Power may be great for you! It contains hormone-supportive adaptogens like the ones listed above and more. You can start with our travel ally version if you'd like to see what you think or just go with something like Pine Pollen.  Here is a great tonic to try: Goji Berry Beauty Tonic by Rocio Graves on our Sun Potion journal!

Hi! I love Sun Potion so much. As a customer over the years, I have watched myself grow so fond of each herb and product (continued below)...

"So much gratitude! But, I wanted to ask about adding ghee to tonics. This is something I have never done before. Could you share a method or example of when to use ghee for tonics?" ... Ohh the wonders of ghee...we love ghee. It is essential in our Prash and in a lot of our tonics. We often share recipes with ghee on our instagram @sunpotion and we also add it to coffee-based potions. Ghee is a great addition to coffee tonics and is a wonderful vehicle for the adaptogens and tonic herbs to digest in the body.  Here is a tonic we love that incorporates ghee... MEDICINAL MUSHROOM MAGIC POTION Lion’s mane. Reishi. Cordyceps. Chaga. Pine Pollen.... blended up with ghee and turmeric(use 1/2 tsp. of each of the adaptogens and a full tbsp. of ghee with desire amount of turmeric) Ghee is a great addition to daily potions!

Is it safe to take several of the tonics mixed together and/or are there some that should be taken separately hours apart. I currently am taking Reishi, Cordyceps, Ashitaba, Chlorella, Pearl and Mucuna Pruriens. Thank you!

Hey there! We love that you're asking! We recommend sticking with up to 5-6 adaptogens a day when you're just beginning. Sometimes, we personally have more than that but we try and listen to our bodies to see what is working best for us. We also recommend that as you increase the number of adaptogens, decrease the serving size just a bit or premise your blend... so maybe instead of a full 1/2 tsp. you try a heaping 1/4 tsp. or prepare a larger blend in a jar of your favorites and have a full tsp. of that. It is really about listening to your body and mind, seeing how you feel and going in that direction/flow. It is certainly safe to have these six in the same day!

Hi when I go on holiday I get a really bad rash on my legs caused by the sun is there anything you can recommend.

YES! SHEA BUTTER. Our unrefined Shea Butter is amazing for after-sun skin care. While it is not a sun screen, it is supportive for redness, rashes and dry skin that may occur after sun exposure. You can take a dime-size amount and warm in your palms and apply to affected areas.  Also, we have a travel size available which is always great to bring along with you.

Hello, I have become a very recent user of Sun Potion products. For about 4 days, I have added Lion's Mane and Cordyceps to my daily routine. I have two quick questions I hope you could help with.... (continued below)

"... I see on the jar and the website it only states the serving size, and a message about consuming these in small, regular doses over a lifetime. So, I was hoping for clarity on whether or not I could/should take more than one serving per day, or if one serving per day is all that is recommended per product? My second question is that I am interested in adding Mucuna Pruriens to the regime, and want to make sure that is ok to take along side the other two, and if it is only a once per day suggested dose as well? I would really appreciate any assistance with these questions! Thank you!" ...THIS is a wonderful question! We are glad you asked. The adaptogens and tonic herbs really support the system when taken in small amounts over a long period of time. Increasing the daily intake is not more potent than having small amounts. In fact, the body reacts well when these are consumed in small doses. Per day, 1/2 teaspoon is recommended although if you consume for some time and listen to your body and feel inclined to have a bit more, you can certainly do so. You can of course add a third/fourth/fifth product to your daily routine and Mucuna Pruriens is a great addition to the others. For example, you could have a morning tonic with 1/2 tsp. of the three, in coffee, tea, water or a blended tonic. I hope this information is helpful and if you have any follow up questions, reach out to us at hello@sunpotion.com
