Every year when Autumn comes around, I realize it really is one of my favorite seasons. There is something so cleansing about the crisp morning air, the changing colors, and the transitional period that these months provide. I find it to be the perfect time to reconnect with myself and my goals.
Below are a few recipes highlighting my favorite autumnal flavors. I hope that they will inspire you to take some time during these months to focus on continuing on your path towards great health through these potions, creating life balance and finding joy in the little things.Coming off of summer which is always go-go-go, I try to make it a priority when Autumn hits to slow down a little, appreciate the remainder of warmer days and cozy up during these cooler mornings.
Power Beauty Potion
Routines are everything in the world of health and morning coffee is a routine that most of us are highly committed to. Why not make your coffee work for you to make you look and feel even better? Upgrade your coffee by adding a sprinkle of this anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, collagen boosting potion! Pearl powder combined with turmeric and the cinnamon in the pumpkin pie spice all have high anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidants, and tons of minerals, all of which are extremely important for healthy, radiant skin. Mixing them together is like an oxygen facial in a jar, giving you one more reason to drink your morning coffee.
I like to make this blend over the weekend for the week to ensure freshness, so the recipe is for 5 days worth.
Ingredients3 tsp. Sun Potion Pearl 1 1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice 3/4 tsp. turmeric |
MethodAdd all ingredients into a small jar (I like to save my old honey and jam jars, they are perfect for this!) Close lid and shake vigorously until completely combined Add 1/2 tsp. daily to morning coffee |
Pine Pollen Pumpkin Spread
There are few flavors as staple to Autumn as pumpkin! I am known to go a little overboard with pumpkin this time of year, but hey, it’s a time to celebrate right?! This is a delicious pumpkin spread that is literally good on everything and enhanced with Pine Pollen. Pine Pollen is often used to support hormonal balance and immune response, both of which are very important during the transition into winter. So, cheers to more Pine Pollen Pumpkin Spread and good health! Enjoy it on toast, as a dip, as a sauce on yogurt or a smoothie bowl… let your taste buds inspire you!
Ingredients1/3 cup coconut oil 4 tbsp. canned pumpkin 2 tbsp. maple syrup 1 tbsp. sunflower seed butter (or nut butter of your choice) 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice 2 tsp. Sun Potion Pine Pollen |
MethodAdd all ingredients into a bowl Whisk until thoroughly combined Spread on anything and everything, get creative! |
I like it on toast, as an apple dip, and as a topping for granola and yogurt.
Moringa Lemon-Ginger Tea
There is nothing that feels more like the changing of the seasons to me than sipping a warm cup of tea. Fight the seasonal cold and strengthen your immune system with this tea.
