Brianna Beard has created a recipe to delight the senses and salad lovers! With an upgraded Caesar dressing spiked with our "Dopamine Bean," Mucuna Pruriens - this salad elevates the mood while providing all the chlorophyll and enzymes....
Sometimes all that you need in your refrigerator is one great dressing!
Unfortunately, most store bought dressings are full of sugar, salt, dairy and unhealthy fats. What makes a great dressing is when you can hit certain flavor points: sweet, salty, sour, bitter, astringent, and creamy. This recipe delivers all of that with a powerful side of nutrients, minerals and herbal support that your body is craving.
This dressing will bring your body to a balanced and blissful state thanks to Mucuna Pruriens. Also known as the dopamine bean, Mucuna Pruriens is the precursor to dopamine, that feel good chemical that the body makes. Now, the secret with adaptogens is that they are meant to be taken daily in small doses over a long period of time. That is why I love to add them into my favorite foods and recipes so that I am sure to get that daily dose! Mucuna also offers wonderful support to the central and peripheral nervous system. Your nervous system is like a superhighway of communication where the brain sends messages to the organs and vice versa.
This is called Bliss Caesar dressing because of the magic of Mucuna. Mucuna Puriens is known to enhance brain function, elevate the mood and refine the senses.

The saltiness in this recipe comes from seaweed (dulse) and miso. Seaweeds are a great source of minerals and miso is high in enzymes due to the fermentation process. The sweetness comes from dates witch are a great source of fiber. Believe it or not, the celery actually adds to the creaminess of the dressing and brings an extra boost of nutrients like Vitamin K, B2, C and A.
All you need is a blender. If you are a regular salad eater like myself, I recommend making a double batch and refrigerating it in mason jars. Lunch will come together quickly once you have this prepped!
IngredientsDRESSING: 3 stalks of celery 2 cloves of garlic 2 dates 2 tbsp. white miso 1/2 cup olive oil 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup lemon juice 1 tbsp. dulse seaweed (optional, but super nutritious) 1/4 tsp. sea salt 1/2 tsp. fresh cracked pepper 2 tsp. Sun Potion Mucuna Pruriens
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: bunch of kale arugula sliced cherry tomatoes toasted pine nuts 1/4 tsp. Sun Potion Chlorella (for dusting) |
MethodBlend the ingredients for the dressing thoroughly and store in a mason jar Tear apart the kale and place in a large bowl with arugula Add dressing and massage into kale, use your hands and add some loving vibrations into it! Add tomatoes and toasted pine nuts Plate the salad and use a small strainer to dust the Chlorella over a portion of the salad It's nice to dust some but not all, so there is a bit of contrast! |
