This hot chocolate recipe has quickly become my new favourite. Raw cacao, Tocos (rice bran solubles) and Sun Potion ‘Anandamide’ weaves into a beautiful and nourishing elixir. A thick and creamy cacao recipe, infused with adaptogenic herbs, medicinal mushrooms and skin-loving Tocos.
“It’s said that cacao was first used as a health elixir and ceremonial medicine as far back as 1900 BC by the ancestors of Central America, and then later it was used as a ritualistic medicine by the Aztec and Mayan cultures.
To these cultures, cacao signifies both life and fertility, and was therefore ingested by the royalty in ceremonial God worship, and in sacrificial ritual.
According to both archeologists and Mayan spiritual elders, the Cacao Spirit was one of the most powerful deities in ancient Mayan cosmology.”
